Riverside Cottage

Riverside Cottage works well for families or groups of friends wanting space to spread out. The house has three bedrooms—a double and two rooms with single beds—and one shower room, which suits six people sharing the whole property to themselves. The ground floor holds a living room with a wood-burning stove, a dining room with an open fire, and a kitchen with electric cooking facilities. Upstairs are the bedrooms. A utility garage houses a washing machine and tumble dryer, useful for longer stays. One small dog stays free, and there's an enclosed back garden with outdoor seating.

The cottage stands in an Eden Valley village beside the Lyvennet Beck. Wifi is included, as are bed linen, towels and initial fuel for the stove; the kitchen was refitted in 2022. There's parking for one car in the garage and space for two more outside. An electric car charging point is available at cost. The location sits seven miles east of the M6, putting you within an hour's drive of Northumberland, the Scottish Borders and the Yorkshire Dales, while the Lake District and Aira Force waterfall are readily accessible for walking. Appleby and Penrith, both market towns with shops and pubs, are nearby. The Coast to Coast Walk and Cumbrian Cycleway pass through the area, and fishing is available locally.
