Sprint Lodge

Sprint Lodge works well for couples or small families after somewhere to settle in for a few days without climbing stairs. Everything is on the ground floor: a living space with French doors opening onto a patio, a kitchen equipped for proper cooking, and two bedrooms each with its own bathroom. One bedroom has a freestanding bath; both have showers and heated towel rails. The living area centres on a woodburner and a large smart TV, with seating arranged to face the views across rolling farmland.

The kitchen has an electric cooker, dishwasher, microwave and coffee machine, so you can cook as much or as little as you want. Heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are all included; there's also fuel for the woodburner. Outside, an enclosed garden has a patio with furniture and space to sit. The lodge has its own parking for two cars and a bike store if you're planning to explore the surrounding countryside.

The property sits on farmland near Burneside in Westmorland and Furness, positioned between the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales. A stream runs through the grounds about 200 yards away; there are two steps down into the garden. No smoking is permitted inside. A travel cot and highchair are available if you're travelling with very young children.
