Thorn Cottage is a detached family home positioned between Lowick Green and Spark Bridge, within reach of both the Lake District National Park and the Cumbrian coast. The village of Greenodd lies a mile away with basic facilities; Ulverston, four miles south, offers shops, restaurants and a notable connection to Stan Laurel. A ten-minute drive reaches Backbarrow and Newby Bridge, where the Lakeland Motor Museum, South Lakes Zoo and Lakes Aquarium draw families with children.
Inside, the ground floor holds a living room with woodburner, separate dining room with open fire, conservatory and a kitchen equipped for real cooking. Upstairs are four bedrooms sleeping eight in total: a double with ensuite bath and shower, two further doubles, and a fourth room with bunk beds. Two bathrooms serve the property. Heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are provided; fuel for the fires can be sourced locally. A utility room houses washer, dryer and extra freezer. The cottage has a lawned garden and on-road parking 110 yards from the entrance. One dog is welcome. No smoking inside.
