About Midland Hotel
The Midland Hotel occupies a substantial, traditional seafront building on Knightstone Road in Weston-super-Mare, the kind of long-established hotel that has been part of the town's holiday landscape for years. Its position gives many rooms sea views, and the scale of the place allows for a lift, a lounge bar, a restaurant and a garden with outdoor seating for warmer days.
Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms, family options for those travelling with children, and drinks available in-room, with daily housekeeping keeping things ticking over throughout a stay. Some of the decor shows its age, but the welcome from staff is consistently warm, and evenings are livened up with regular entertainment. Breakfast is included, and the restaurant has built a reputation for its food, with the caramel apple pie a particular favourite among guests.
Free on-site parking and 24-hour reception make arrivals straightforward, while the seafront setting puts golf, fishing, watersports, cycling and walking routes all within easy reach, alongside a good spread of nearby pubs and restaurants. It's a solid base for exploring Weston-super-Mare without needing a car for the evening.
What guests say
Spent 5 days here on a coach trip. What a wonderful place. Waitress service, daily housekeeping. Food was lovely, especially caramel apple pie. The staff were wonderful, nothing was too much trouble, The rooms were clean and comfortable. My only criticism is, the rooms at the front of the hotel are on a busy main road, which was noisy all night long, but if you're tired enough you'll sleep through it. However, these rooms had the advantage of a balcony and sea view. I would definitely return to this hotel. Well done to Marc and all the staff for a wonderful stay.

Went with my husband and Mum for Christmas. Had read some of the reviews and was a bit apprehensive. Also been to a couple of Caledonia owned hotels prior to this and had a very bad experience. Was pleasantly surprised. Yes the hotels decor is a bit tired and dated but it was clean and the staff were very welcoming and friendly. Room was on small side but had everything we needed. Had problem with shower which was dealt with while we were out. Nothing was too much trouble. They also went out of their way to make sure my mum had a different vegetarian option everyday, something none of the Caledonia hotels bothered with. Had very enjoyable stay with entertainment every night. Would recommend and definitely go back ourselves in the future.
