What visitors say
Great museum. Very versatile in what they cover. I have been particularly interested in the railway related displays and performances. Great staff..

Had a great time here on an overcast day.. The castle itself is only small but the grounds are nice to walk with a great panorama. The museum is worth the trip. Did a cool treasure hunt for a competition entry. Lots of interesting facts, items and things to listen to. Staff were very friendly. Parked at the castle longstay carpark for £2.10.

Our 1st visit to this location was due to being in the area for a catch-up with friends and we weren't disappointed. Great location with great views over the surrounding town and landscape, would recommend a visit when in the area....

Lovey day out in Clitheroe is not complete without visiting the Castle and Museum. The Museum covers all aspects of the local area in including Rocks, Amimals the Castle History including the Pendel Witches, great if you have children and the staff are warm and welcoming. The Castle is set in the lovely town of Clitheroe which looks like a place in the Lake District but without ripping you off for even breathing. We went on a Sunday and found by accident the parking is free. Win win.

Other reviews mention the workshops can be odd.
