Sandfield House Farm Caravan Park

What a great site, it’s 5*++++. The staff are friendly and personable, they care about their customers, they work tirelessly keeping the wash rooms spotless, the facilities are complete with showers, WCs, sinks, shaver points, stools to sit on, a hairdryer and toilet brushes and toilet paper. There’s affixed to the block a washing up area with sinks and drainers, hot and cold water, there’s a toilet waste emptying point. The grass is cut short and the hard standing pebbles, flat as a pancake. The staff again work tirelessly keeping the site spotless, there’s no weeds, no litter, everything is 5 star. It’s a short walk from the entrance barrier to the end of the driveway, cross the road for a bus to Whitby or stay on the same side as the camp for a bus stop to Sandsend or further. On Friday evening a Pizza van arrives and you can buy a pizza or on Saturday morning a breakfast van arrives for cooked breakfast. It’s easy to come and go with Reg recognition at the barrier. If you want a peaceful holiday where you can relax and chill out, find great restaurants within a few minutes then this is the place for you, we arrived Monday and left Saturday, 5 nights of bliss, we caught the bus into Whitby every morning and had great food, we then returned about 7.30 pm and sat out in the sunshine until the sun went down. The views quite spectacular. It’s also not too hard to walk both to Whitby and Sandsend, we did both. If you don’t go here you are missing one of the countries top campsites. My score 10/10..

We knew as soon as we arrived that we had picked the right campsite. The location (albeit a rather windy one on this occasion) is just great. From our pitch we could see the sea and any passing ships (I think I should have been a sailor!). The facilities here are first class, we have not used better anywhere else. The fantastic beach is an easy downhill walk on the path from the site and you can easily walk into Whitby on the promenade or the beach. If walking is not your thing then there are bus stops outside the entrance (X4 - later becomes the X4A) to Whitby/Middlesborough. There is an interesting looking Golf Club very close. (visitors welcome) All staff we met were lovely and friendly/helpful. Dogs seem most welcome and the dog shower facility looked to be well appreciated by owners. Cannot comment on Friday pizzas, but the bacon rolls from the local Breakfast serving van ladies was very tasty! We definitely are recommending this site.

Just had 4 nights at this fabulous site in our campervan. We loved it. Pitch with sea views and the most wonderful sunsets. The lovely team there were so helpful,welcoming and just great. Walks to Whitby and Sandsend and a reakky good bus service with stops just outside the site. The toilets and showers were spotlessly clean. We will definitely be returning. Thanks to all the lovely friendly team ...we love your site.

Sandfield House caravan park Whitby We had a lovely stay at the caravan park. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The location of the site is fabulous with sea views and easy access to the beach. There is a great secure dog friendly field to exercise your dog. You can either walk into Whitby or Sandsend on the beach front. There is a bus stop at the end of the drive so you can jump on the bus. I would highly recommend a stay at Sandfield House.
