Sharrowhead Cottage sits at the end of a narrow alley in Robin Hood's Bay, the kind of seaside village where the beach is a minute on foot and pubs cluster within fifty yards. The cottage itself is a traditional fisherman's property with steep internal stairs, spread across three floors: a kitchen and dining space on the lower ground level, a sitting room with a wood-burning fire on the ground floor, and two bedrooms and a bathroom above. The first bedroom has a double bed, the second two singles. One bathroom serves both.
You get the essentials—heating, electricity, bed linen and Wi-Fi—plus a washing machine and tumble dryer in an external shed. The kitchen is equipped for self-catering. A car park sits 500 yards away up a steep bank. Whitby, famous for its harbour and connections to Captain Cook, lies five miles north. The steam railway runs inland towards Pickering and the North York Moors; cycle hire and riding are available locally. The cottage takes one pet and is non-smoking.
