Premier Inn Whitstable

Just spent 3 nights at the Premiere Inn Whitstable. Since my last visit they have added a new restaurant within the hotel, The Social. All the staff were lovely and very helpful, I would recommend going for the Meal Deal, as its excellent value for money, all in all, a very pleasant stay.

This Premier Inn is in a great location for using as a base for looking around the area. The rooms are very typical of a Premier Inn. Thou the mattress I found to be a tad soft. But that's down to just me. The shower was top notch. Free WiFi is available. No AC in the rooms but there is a fan if needed. This we used and it did a great job in keeping us cool. A cooked breakfast or a continental is available at an extra cost. We had the cooked which was ok. Both breakfasts are unlimited. Didn't have any evening meals so I can't comment on that. They serve drinks but nothing is on tap just from cans or bottles. There is a good size car park, which I was surprised how full this got, so the place must have quite alot of rooms. The staff are very helpful and polite. While mentioning staff, a big shout out to Amelia who was very helpful and without her help we wouldn't have been able to stay here at the time we wanted. Would use again.

Cannot fault the staff, each and every one of them are very friendly, always happy to chat to you, extremely helpful, made our stay even better. Love The Social room inside the hotel, their own cafe, very well decorated, inviting, food we had was done very well, no complaints on that score. The rooms are in the process of being upgraded, so next time we stay, we will have even more comfort in the room. The bathroom in our room got incredibly steamy, water dripping from everywhere, but hopefully that wont be the case with the new rooms

The rooms are fine. They have no A/C though. It was sweltering in the room despite the hallway and outside being not that warm and you could only open the window a tiny little but which virtually made no difference. Also if you have an even room number your window will be facing the car park and the flood lights will be shining directly into you room meaning you will want to close them to not have the room lit up. That doesn’t help airflow either. Service is so-so. While the staff were nice, they man the front desk and the “bar” at the same time. I had to wait 10 minutes at the bar for someone to come back to serve me. Would only stay again in the depths of winter because I imagine it will only be 20 degrees rather than 26 in the rooms during that time. Lastly having had a room below the 40s we had to walk what felt like an eternity all the way to the other end of the building through those narrow corridors. Made going back and forth with our luggage a bit of a pain.
