Easy check in with code. Wilmslow isn't far and there is some lovely restaurants. Initial view of the property was nice but the place isnt luxury. Needs a good deep clean. Starting to look old and worn. Beds were comfy. Confetti in corners and under bed, everywhere dusty, dirty mugs,soggy biscuits, mould in bathroom, shower leaked and you can see by the skirting boards thats been happening months. Woman walked in on us and didn't even knock. I was in my towel. She apologised. and said our booking want on her system. Very close to the airport.

We went to a wedding and stayed overnight. The staff were absolutely amazing, all of the servers were working so hard, and the actual coordinators were doing such a good job to keep everything on schedule. The only let down that we had was the issue with the room door codes. The rooms itself were really comfortable and we had a nice stay, however our codes were all easily deciphered by guests and children, which was extremely unsafe for an overnight stay. Guest safety should be a priority, however it clearly wasn’t taken into account when making all the room codes the same sort of thing (with the room number starting off the code).

I’m extremely disappointed with my experience at Rylands Farmhouse & Events. My fiancé and I attended their wedding showcase in November 2025 and initially had a lovely experience speaking with the recommended vendors, who were all welcoming, helpful, and professional. Unfortunately, the experience with the actual venue team was the complete opposite. Despite having a booking, we were never properly sat down with a member of the Rylands team. We did briefly speak with the manager, but the interaction left me feeling dismissed, uncomfortable, and genuinely upset. Most of our questions were brushed off quickly, and there was little effort made to provide reassurance or support during what should be an exciting and important process. Choosing a wedding venue involves a huge amount of trust, and after this interaction I no longer felt confident or respected as a customer. I raised my concerns directly with the venue afterward, hoping for understanding and accountability. While they acknowledged my disappointment, the response ultimately focused more on their cancellation terms and retaining our £1,000 deposit than addressing how upsetting the experience had been. Although they agreed to waive an additional cancellation fee “as a gesture of goodwill,” they still refused to refund the £1,000 deposit despite the circumstances that led us to cancel. It felt incredibly unfair considering we chose not to proceed because of how we were treated. Planning a wedding is stressful enough without feeling dismissed by the venue you’re trusting with such an important day. Sadly, based on my experience, I would not recommend Rylands Farmhouse & Events to other couples looking for a supportive and respectful wedding planning experience. Please who ever is reading this make sure you go to other venues first before deciding on this venue because there’s much better options around in the area

The staff at Rylands go above and beyond, they made our wedding day run smoothly and nothing was too much trouble, the venue is just spectacular, we had the most amazing weather for an April wedding, we were able to dress the venue ourselves the day before to how we wanted it and it was just perfect!! We highly recommend rylands, even the horses made an appearance which was so lovely to see!! Rylands is also dog friendly which was a massive tick for us, Barney had a great day also, the venue has a lovely chilled festival Vibe and all of us loved every minute!! Thank you to all of the staff at Rylands, we honestly cannot thank you enough xxx
