I had a delicious dinner here, the restaurant is well managed with good staff that manage the tables well; as the starters finished the mains arrived, glasses were topped up, etc. All without disturbing the conversation at the table. Food was hot and fresh with good portions. It is nicely styled with good decor and lighting, I hope to be back again soon

I had put a comment on my booking to say i wanted the lunch menu, the restaurant rang me on the day to say the time that i had booked my table was actually outside of the lunch menu availabilty and gave me the option to move my booking forward so we could still have the lunch menu or keep my table the same. Really appreciated this. We then ate from the new lunch menu and all 3 of our dishes were delicious. Only wrote 3 stars for atmosphere as it was very quiet on the date we visited.

I love the food in a Giggling Squid, hence why we came here, I’ve never been to the Wimbledon one despite it being close to our folks. I would definitely go there again. I shared a selection of starters with my wife and in-laws, all were very good and extremely tasty. For main I had the Melt Beef, as recommended by the server, this was brilliant, full of flavour and perfectly cooked as I have come to love about this chain. They had an amazing beer on selection called the Mad Squirrel which I think was unique to this branch which I really enjoyed and I didn’t think it was too expensive either. The service was a little lacking to begin with, we waited quite a long time for our drinks, but they got better throughout the experience. I wouldn’t say it was so bad it ruined our experience and I would be happy to come back. The decor is just beautiful and makes you feel very light and relaxed, you’ll understand if you go.

Nice meal (although not amazing - I would say average) - good service from staff though. We asked if we could have some cashews on the chili and basil stir fry and were told we would be charged extra for what was effectively a desert spoonful of nuts - which I found really bad customer service and commercial ethic. I don't think we will be coming back because of that. One other point - all your kitchen and serving staff smoking at the side of the restaurant is now a great look for customers either.
