Jin Go Gae

Absolutely fantastic Korean BBQ! The quality of the meat was exceptional, especially the beef bulgogi and pork belly, and cooking everything over the charcoal grill made it even better. The staff were friendly, welcoming and happy to explain how everything worked. Great selection of authentic side dishes, generous portions and a brilliant atmosphere. Easily one of the best Korean BBQ restaurants I’ve been to. Highly recommended if you’re in New Malden – I’ll definitely be back!

When I checked the restaurant online, I saw it only had a 4.1 rating, and many of the reviews complained about the food and service. But my friend told me to trust him because the flavours were just like in Korea. To be honest, after trying it, I think he was right. The food tasted very authentic, just like in Korea, and everything was good by UK standards. The service was also very nice.

The staff are personable, proactive and genuinely delightful. Their professionalism and warmth elevate the entire experience and leave a lasting impression. In summary, Jin Go Gae is a restaurant I would revisit because of the staff rather than the food. Their hospitality is exceptional, even if the kitchen needs a touch more finesse.

The food was so fresh and tasty! The pajeon was crisp, galbi tang was clear and galbi very tender, and naengmyeon was also great. Super super sweet staff served us too, thank you for making us feel at home!
