The site sits handily between Rye and Hastings (both fifteen minutes by car), making coastal walks and High Weald exploration easy day trips without the tourist crush.
Facilities keep things simple but clean: hot showers, toilets, washing-up sinks, plus a picnic area with tables and a barbecue for DIY dinners. If you can't be faffed cooking, two local pubs serve food within easy reach. Campfires are allowed, adding to the atmosphere on quieter evenings, though note there's no WiFi and pets aren't permitted. It's the sort of site where proper rest and relaxation come naturally.

Best camping experience I’ve ever had in all of Kent. The toilets and showers are clean, a fridge is provided, and you can also charge your phone for free. Plenty of spots to set up camp. Plenty of activities around the area. The host is very friendly and helpful

Lovely place for camping 🏕 We travel up this direction every year if we can. At oak vally it is a beautiful place, very close to the beech and a pub which is a twenty minutes walk. The facilitys are as good as you get. The washing up space is a great space. The toliets and showers are good.( And was kept clean when i stayed. ) The logs for the fire pit are a very good reasonable price! Which is nice in the evenings when you feel cold. We was both lucky this time, as the weather was kind to us. And we was in the middle of a thunderstorm. Which was very fun ... haha Definitely come again.

A Hidden Gem – Last-Minute Blessing! We stumbled upon Oak Valley Camping by complete chance, and it turned out to be the highlight of our trip! After a disappointing experience with an Airbnb booking that didn't match its description, we found ourselves without accommodation late in the evening—around 7PM. In a bit of a panic, we searched for alternatives and came across Oak Valley. It was a last-minute booking, and we were hopeful but unsure if they could take us in. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with such warmth and care. The host was absolutely lovely—friendly, calm, and incredibly helpful. She immediately made a few calls and went out of her way to ensure we were looked after. Within minutes, we were settled in and could finally breathe a sigh of relief. The campsite itself is beautifully maintained and spotlessly clean. It’s clear that a lot of thought and heart goes into keeping it such a relaxing, peaceful space. We stayed for three nights, and looking back, booking Oak Valley was hands-down the best decision we made on our trip. What started out as a stressful evening quickly turned into a restful and rejuvenating escape. We can’t recommend Oak Valley Camping enough. Whether you’re planning in advance or find yourself in a pinch like we did, you’ll be in great hands here. The combination of genuine hospitality, a tranquil setting, and thoughtful touches throughout made it an unforgettable stay.
