I have stayed at Gowan Bank Farm a few times now. The hosts are brilliant. The accommodations are well equipped. The bed and linen are super comfy making it a hard task to get out of bed in the mornings! I love staying here, the views are amazing and i love seeing all the animals on the farm!

Amazing place to stay, cottage is very cosy, roomy and to such a high standard. Very comfy bed and bathroom was luxurious. The hosts make the place though being right in the middle of a working farm surrounded by chickens, sheep and cows that where available to see and cuddle if you wanted due to the relaxed nature of the farmer who was lovely and wasn't too busy to say hi and stand talking about whatever random questions we had but at the same time gave us the privacy to enjoy an amazing and relaxing stay. The hosts made it but the amazing cottage, farm and views helped a little. Will definitely be returning time and time again.

Staying here - fantastic! For all sorts if reasons and I cannot fault it for a lake district holiday - will definitely return! We had the most perfect stay - hosts warm and welcoming, our 4 yr old loved it, she has had a miserable face since leaving. It's a working farm but you wouldn't know it - if you want great affordable quality, which is just out of the way of the mainstream but still easily accessible to the lake district, in a quiet, secluded area - then this is for you. You make it what you want - family or couples - all equally catered for.
