About Blenheim Lodge
Blenheim Lodge occupies a fine old house on Brantfell Road in Windermere, the kind of solid Lake District building that lends itself naturally to a warm, characterful B&B. Its age shows in the high ceilings and generous proportions of the rooms, giving the place an airy feel rather than the cramped corridors of a purpose-built hotel.
Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms and drinks provided, with some looking out over the surrounding landscape towards the lake. Breakfast is included, luggage storage is available for those heading off walking, and reception operates around the clock. Free on-site parking makes arriving by car straightforward, and fishing permits can be arranged for guests keen to try the local waters.
The surrounding area suits an active stay, with walking and cycling routes on the doorstep, plus golf, horse riding and watersports within easy reach. Pubs, restaurants and other eateries nearby cover evening meals, and there's enough entertainment locally to fill a longer break. It's a quiet, personal base for exploring Windermere rather than a large-scale hotel experience.

We really enjoyed our two nights at Blenheim Lodge. Beautiful views over the lake, quiet location at the top of the town away from the crowds and close to hiking countryside, great cooked breakfasts, very clean and our hosts welcoming and friendly.

Blenheim Lodge is an absolutely beautiful place to stay. The rooms are stunningly pretty with probably the most amazing views of the Lakes to be found. The beds are luxurious and the most comfy we have ever found. Every thought is given by Janz and Robert the hosts to making a stay special. Nothing is too much trouble and there is always the warmest of welcomes. Little touches like tea making facilities , bathing products all add to the wonderful homely feeling on arrival. Breakfast is marvellous!! Lots of choice and plenty of everything. The breakfast room has a relaxing calming atmosphere, a great start to the day. We cannot recommend Blenheim Lodge enough and can honestly say we would not want to stay anywhere else in the area

We have had a lovely 4 nights at Blenheim Lodge! Beautiful lake views, comfortable bedroom, delicious breakfasts and plenty of advice about places to go. The climb to Brantfell through a nearby gate was slightly arduous, but we are both over 80 that wasn’t surprising and the views from the top were wonderful! The weather has been amazing, we could have been by the Mediterranean. We didn’t go on any boat trips although we had planned to. There were far too many folk on the boats and as we have avoided Covid so far we didn’t want to push our luck! Robert and Janz have been the perfect hosts. There are some good places to eat, we liked Jacksons bistro very much. The quietness was great with just birdsong to listen to, no traffic noise at all.
