What visitors say
A fun experience to learn the fishing history of Grimsby, as I was a tourist in the area visiting family. Staff were very friendly and approachable. Displays and information were very detailed, and it's interesting to see a variety of marina history of the area; as well as the lively hoods of the people. It makes it feel like you're there, as seen in photos shared with other reviewers. There's also a experience to have a tour on the Trawler, though whilst I was unable to do this on this occasion; it's definitely worth considering if your fit and able for it. I believe they said the tour was an hour so it's worth considering whilst you're here.

What great day out!! Well thought out museum with the smells and sights of the old trawler days. Tour around the Ross Tiger was excellent, the old 3rd hand made all the difference with his tour engaging with the children to make sure they all was included. This is a gem and a credit to Grimsby, I can only hope our one in Hull will be half as good as this.

Myself and the family have visited the fishing museum. And all of us really enjoyed it. Some of the set up rooms are dark and have mannequins in them witch could be a little scary for younger children. As our 3 years old daughter was abit scared but the reception staff hand out bags with fun things in and a torch for them. My 9 year old son loved it tho. We paid for the extra tour for the trawler boat out side and it was well worth it as it was brilliant. Special mention to Conor the tour guide for the trawler bout. He was very knowledgeable and made it funny.

What a lovely experience had today. I was last here when I was at primary school... 30+yrs ago. It was perfect for a revisit. We also did the Tiger Ross tour, a lovely extra with a very knowledgeable ex crew member. It gave you a good insight into the life of a fisherman, tough life. We finished off at the cafe - which was just perfect. Lovely coffee, amazing cake and fantastic staff. Thank you for making us feel welcome. I'd happily recommend.
