What visitors say

Absolutely beautiful place. Fantastic amenities. Suitable for just adults or families alike. Every thing you could need. Animals, swimming pool, hot tub, outdoor seating area’s. Woodland walk, and brilliant games room. We were celebrating two 60th birthday’s, and had an amazing time. We stayed in the Barn which was brilliant, only reason did not give a five on rooms is that we could have done with some drawers for clothes, but there is a large wardrobe and small bedside drawers, and in fairness we did manage fine. The owners were great, friendly and helped in any way they could. The other people staying there were absolutely lovely too, and when using pool each accommodation has a slot, but you can talk to other guests and sort out between you for longer slots etc. we had massive fun in the pool, and were very lucky with beautiful weather. Temperature of the pool was perfect. We also went to a local pub, which was brilliant service and very friendly. The barn is right next to all the animals, and the games room. Fantastic time and will be going back with the children x

Beautiful peaceful location with lovely views. I could have stayed much longer and wish we hadn't had commitments to make us have to spend the day out. The hot tub was lovely and it was brilliant to have a completely fenced compound so that we could release the dog and know that she was safe. The view over the fields with the ponies and lots of squirrels and rabbits was very soothing and we had everything we needed. The welcome basket had a lovely selection of local produce and the Hop Pickers team were really helpful and friendly.

We stayed at Hop Pickers Rural Retreats for the weekend to celebrate my husband’s 32nd birthday, and it was absolutely perfect from start to finish.Louise and Rebecca were wonderful hosts and so easy to get in touch with and incredibly quick to respond to any questions, both over email and WhatsApp. We stayed in The Hop Pickers Hideaway Hut, and they went above and beyond to make it special by arranging a birthday banner, welcome breakfast baskets, and numbered birthday balloons for when we arrived. They also made sure the hot tub was already warm for our Friday evening arrival, which was such a lovely touch. The hut itself was beautiful and had everything we needed. The bed was extremely comfortable, the fireplace made it so cosy, and the kitchen was well equipped with both a microwave, stove and oven. The bathroom was lovely too. The setting was so peaceful and private, overlooking open fields with the Shetland ponies (Shanty, Rosie, and Toby). Feeding them was such a special experience and they are absolutely beautiful and added to how relaxing the whole weekend felt. The hot tub was amazing, and we also upgraded our stay with a mobile massage and afternoon tea and dinner, which were all fantastic and made the weekend even more special. Clear directions were provided before arrival, along with great recommendations for places to eat and things to do nearby. Thank you Louise and Rebecca for such a memorable and special stay. We are so grateful for all the little touches and cannot wait to return.

Really nice location and a well kitted out cabin. We did not have any problems and everything was excellent. I particularly liked the amount of detail sent to us before our stay with regards to local restaurants, places to visit etc. Well thought out. We would definitely return to Hop Pickers Rural Retreat and would recommend it to friends and family
