About Hafod Las

Tucked into a working farm on the outskirts of Minera village, Hafod Las offers couples and solo travellers a peaceful retreat just outside the Clwydian Range and Dee Valley National Landscape. Each of the site's handful of accommodation units comes with its own private patch, fitted with a sofa-bed, woodburner for cooler evenings, and an outdoor dining area with barbecue. Locally sourced breakfast packs can be ordered, and the farm setting delivers excellent countryside views alongside secure bike storage and off-road parking.

The location is a winner for walkers and cyclists: Offa's Dyke Path lies ten minutes' drive away, the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct twenty, and Wrexham town centre fifteen. If you're arriving car-free, the local bus stop is a short stroll from site, with regular services into Wrexham. It's a tiny, thoughtfully run spot that punches well above its weight for scenery and access to the surrounding landscape.

We stayed in the Hideaway for 2 nights in August 2024, just amazing, what a wonderful space with everything you could need. No Wi-Fi but most have phones these days and it was not needed, so nice to disconnect for a couple of nights, fabulous bed, fire keeps you nice and snug and lots of extras - cleaning products, tea, coffee and sugar, oils S & P and all bedding and towels. Thank you Helen for an amazing stay, we cannot wait to come back. Until the next Gravel Bike event we cannot wait. Great pub 5 minutes walk for evening, meals and drinks and WI-FI if you really need it. Tyn Capel
