What visitors say
I visited Llandegla Fishery twice and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience both times. The behaviour of one of the staff (a lady) was extremely rude and unprofessional. She approached us in front of others in a disrespectful manner, which was quite embarrassing. We had already paid for fishing, but she came to our spot and questioned us about not paying for a picnic area in an aggressive and inappropriate way. This kind of attitude is not acceptable, especially when customers are paying for the service. Respectful communication is very important, and sadly this was completely lacking. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and improves staff behaviour in the future.

Beautiful location, but unfortunately ruined by extremely unprofessional behaviour from the lady in charge. There were no clear rules provided on arrival or on the website, yet we were spoken to in a very disrespectful tone and asked for extra payment without proper explanation prior entry into the site. This created a very uncomfortable atmosphere, especially in front of my guests. We ignored the issue the first time, but on our second visit the behaviour was even worse. People come here to relax, not to be treated like this. Very disappointing experience. Will not return!

We had booked in advance for a 1 night stay in our motorhome. On arrival, the woman who 'greeted' us was quite abrupt. We had declared on booking that we were a group of 2 adults, 3 kids and a dog, and that we were bringing a car. We were told that only a reservation for 2 adults had been booked. We were then charged a whole load more for the kids, dog and car. I bought 2 days of fishing tickets to fish on the day of arrival and the following day. The next morning, we were told that we had to vacate the pitch by 11am. I asked if I could park the motorhome in the carpark as I had a ticket to fish all day. I was told that we couldn't because the carpark would get very busy on a Sunday... I was a paying customer (paying a lot!) so why could I not use the carpark!? As far as the actual fishery goes, the first thing I noticed is that finding a peg to set up at was hard work because the entire banks are covered in faeces. I assume it was goose faeces as they were large, almost like dog faeces. The pegs are paving stones and they were also thick with faeces. Laying your equipment on the ground means putting it on excrement. Kneeling on the ground to do anything brought back memories of being a kid playing football on a public field that was covered in dog poo. It didn't exactly make for a relaxing experience.... Seriously, I know that wild animals will poo but the owners really should clean it up! As far as catching fish, I caught 8 fish and each time it was a small perch. I spoke to another angler and he said that's all he'd managed to catch too. We both suspected that there was only small perch in the water... Possibly just the same one repeatedly taking the bait! On the second day of fishing, I packed up early and left because it just wasn't enjoyable. I will also add that when we left, the carpark wasn't busy at all. There were about 3 cars in it.

Very rude woman on front of house, we were told we couldn't have food 10 seconds after serving the couple Infront of us as they stop serving at 2:15, bearing in mind this was 2:21 and it says on the door no food after 2:30. We left pretty sharpish and have absolutely no plans to return!
