Moss Bank Farm - The Hayloft

Photo: Moss Bank Farm Holiday Cottages

The Hayloft is a barn conversion on a working farm outside Wrexham, where sheep graze the surrounding fields and farm animals are part of the setting. Built from the bones of older agricultural buildings, it has been converted into a self-contained property that sleeps six across three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The ground floor holds an open-plan living space with a kingsize bedroom and ensuite, while two further bedrooms occupy the first floor—one with a double bed and one with twin pull-out singles. The whole place is yours alone, with private parking for three cars and an enclosed back garden where a hot tub sits ready for up to four people.

The kitchen comes fully equipped for proper cooking: electric oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave and a washer-dryer. Downstairs, an 85-inch smart TV, Nintendo Switch and wood-effect electric burner fill the living area. Bed linen, towels, electricity, wifi and heating are all included. An enclosed garden with patio and furniture offers outdoor space; if you're travelling with young children or a dog, a travel cot, highchair and stairgate are available on request. One dog is welcome, though dogs must be kept on a lead—this is sheep country.

The farm sits deep in rural Wrexham, surrounded by walking routes that start from the door. The area holds traditional pubs, historic houses and scattered villages within reach, and various family attractions lie nearby. Smoking is not permitted in the property. Arrive after 15:00 and depart by 10:00.

What a fantastic place to stay, tucked away on the outskirts of Wrexham approximately 2 miles from the Town Centre. Amy and Shaun are fantastic hosts and keep the accommodation in excellent condition, perfect for a family get together or break. Also ideal for contractors who are working in the area it’s great value for money. We thoroughly recommend Moss Bank Farm.

Moss Bank Farm House - Totally love this place, we’ve stayed here three years on the trot with all our adult children and my parents. It’s like coming to visit extended family. Amy and Shaun are just the very best hosts, nothing is too much trouble for them. There is loads of things to do actual at the house without having to travel, in fact that’s what we do, we just stay at the house and enjoy the hot tub, gardens and the games in the garage coupled with lovely countryside walks directly from the house. The house itself has every gadget and kitchen utensil you need and even ones you didn’t know you needed! Immaculately clean with comfy beds. It’s very spacious, even with 8 adults in the house we didn’t feel on top of each other, there’s room to have your own down time and space it you want to. Time is stands still when you’re at Moss Bank Farm, it’s just wonderful.

This place is a gem! And the owners, Amy and Shaun, are so committed and professional. Spent a weekend there at the end of May 2026 to get the grown up family all together for the weekend - 7 adults and 1 teenager. From the moment we arrived we felt relaxed and the whole weekend was just perfect: because the place is cared for you want to leave or that way too - we could not have wished for a better place for the weekend.
