A campsite near Aberaeron
About Arth Valley Retreat
Tucked into the gentle folds of the Arth Valley just outside Aberaeron, this intimate hideaway offers fewer than ten pitches scattered across peaceful farmland—the kind of place where birdsong drowns out any hint of traffic. The setting delivers on its promise of spectacular scenery, with walkers and wildlife enthusiasts finding plenty to occupy them within easy reach of the pitch. Dogs are welcome year-round, there's space for jumbo tents, and a decent toilet block with showers covers the basics.
It's genuinely remote, so don't expect frills or on-site entertainment, but that seclusion is precisely the draw. Pitches start from around £25, making it a solid, straightforward base for touring Ceredigion's coast and countryside without the crowds.

Camped with my little dog Alfie last year. This campsite is unique, plenty of space between pitches, we had a fence and gate around ours making it really safe for Alfie. The bathroom was really nice and spotlessly clean and the staff were very friendly. Camped for over 50 years, all over Europe and this one is special.

This was an amazing place, definitely good for couples looking for a romantic get away. Nice location and very close to the town, which is about a 45 minute walk and a 5 minute drive. Overall lovely place and good hosts, would come again.

We stayed at The Copper Hide for a couple of days and it was just amazing. The farm is beautiful and they’ve gone to a lot of an effort with comfort and style, plus the animals are so friendly and adorable - especially the little cat. The hosts are welcoming and friendly - all was as it should be. We had a magical time here and would highly recommend it to anyone.
