What guests say
Really nice stay. We stayed in the Irvine Room (Heritage level room) after upgrading from a Riverview. It only cost an extra £20 and was an absolute bargain! Very nice room, great view, waterfall shower, and underfloor heating in the bathroom which was wonderful! Few issues with the F&B side of things but these were quickly resolved with F&B and Reception help and feedback was given. Worth knowing :- This hotel hosts a lot of weddings so if you are looking for a quiet stay, check if there is a party on. Unsurprisingly we had a few drunk revellers pass our room at 1am who were less than quiet on the way to their beds. But, not going to hold that against the hotel or the staff It was a great stay and brilliant value for money. We will be back in the future as long as a Heritage room is available 🙂

I stayed at the Maryculter House for a couple of days for my daughter’s wedding on the 5th July and had an absolutely amazing time, this historic hotel feels like a peaceful countryside retreat right on the banks of the River Dee.The building is steeped in character . It was comfortable, and impeccably clean. I had a lovely view of the river. The wedding from start to finish was done beautifully and I have to say a big thank you to Aaron he was with us throughout and made sure everything was done perfectly and also a big thank you to the chefs who prepared our food which was excellent hot tasty and plenty on the plate and also to all the staff who worked on the day it was very professional everyone loved the day. Thanks once again

We had booked a private dining room for our mother's 80th birthday but had to cancel the day before when they finally sent us the menu, only to discover it consisted of sandwiches. How anyone thought sandwiches were an appropriate menu for a private dining celebration marking an 80th birthday is beyond me. It was never mentioned during the booking process, and only finding out the day before left us scrambling to find an alternative venue for eight people. A really disappointing experience and shockingly poor service.

We held our golden wedding anniversary at this picturesque hotel in a lovely setting by the river Dee. The rooms are very well appointed and quiet, many with lovely views over the river. All aspects of service in the hotel were outstanding, the food and accommodation including the Priory room and Templar suite are of an exceptionally high standard. Staff were very kind and attentive the entire time. The whole stay and event was superb - many thanks for looking after us!
