Harbour View is a recently renovated cottage built into the working harbour at Johnshaven, a small fishing village on the Aberdeenshire coast. The building sits yards from the water's edge, where lobster creels line the quayside and fishing boats come and go. The village itself is compact enough to explore on foot, with narrow streets and local restaurants nearby.
The cottage has three bedrooms and one bathroom across two floors. Downstairs there's a living room with a woodburner, a kitchen with electric cooking and a breakfast area, and a double bedroom with an ensuite shower room. Upstairs are two further bedrooms—a double and a twin. The essentials are covered: heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are all included, along with initial logs for the fire. On-road parking is available. The property is rented as a whole to one group only, and sleeps up to six; one pet is welcome. Smoking is not permitted inside.
The beach sits 300 yards away. Stonehaven and Dunnottar Castle are within easy reach along the coast, while inland you can drive into the Angus Glens or follow the Victorian Heritage Trail through Edzell towards the Cairn O' Mount. Montrose, further south, has sandy beaches and golf courses.
