We came and camped in a tent but as we arrived after the reception closed we didn't speak to anyone. We were allocated a pitch next to the quietest goats ever! Very well maintained park and the showers/toilets were gleaming although I did have an unexpected encounter with a toad guarding the toilet at 1am! There is a park for the children and a forest walk but we couldn't go in as there was an electric fence inside the gate. Whilst we took that as a cue to not enter, others did as there was no sign saying otherwise, unfortunately, despite watching with interest, no-one got a shock 😀. So many birds to see and hear and a pond where we saw some amphibians as well as some dramatic sounding sheep in the fields next to us. There was nowhere to go in the evening like a clubhouse etc but we enjoyed the tranquility so that didn't bother us. Definitely would go back and is absolutely recommended. The site is a mix of static units and tourer pitches. The serviced tourer pitches are tucked behind some pods and statics and don't have any view/outlook other than a row of statics. The pitches are on a significant slope front to rear but are level side to side. There is a larger area at the top of the site which are grass / electric pitches so probably have a nicer outlook. The toilet / shower facilities are reasonably new and kept in good order. Unfortunately when we visited the site was surrounded by fields of Oil Seed Rape which were in full bloom and caused my partner to have a terrible reaction akin to hay fever but much worse. Not Ecclesgrieg's fault but if you are sensitive to OSR May is not the time to visit.

This is a lovely wee campsite. Toilets and showers are very clean and the site is immaculate. Although busy, it is quiet and in a beautiful spot. We will definitely return.

Very quiet lovely little place few mins walk to village great coffee all the way from Mexico owners wife runs little coffee shop. Great fish and chip van also burger van on site. Play area for kids and wee goats to watch playing. Very friendly but no WiFi so make sure u have data will deffo go back
