Lairds Cast

Lairds Cast works well for families, couples or small groups wanting a proper base rather than a cramped getaway. The three bedrooms—one double, two with singles—and two bathrooms mean there's room to spread out. Everything is on the ground floor, with parking on site and the essentials covered: wifi, heating, linen and towels are all provided, and one dog stays free.

The living space opens onto the River Dee through patio doors, with an open fire for cooler evenings. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking, and there's a pub within a mile. Banchory itself centres on golf and fishing; the owner can arrange river fishing on request. Beyond that, Crathes Castle and Castle Fraser are nearby, the Cairngorms are a short drive for hillwalking, and Ballater—with its Victorian station and walks up Lochnagar—is close enough for a day out. Balmoral and Aberdeen are within reach too. Smoking is not permitted indoors.
