West Lodge

West Lodge is a two-bedroom cottage arranged entirely on the ground floor, with a shower room, kitchen and living room flowing from a central hallway. The living room has an open fire and Freeview TV. The kitchen is fitted with a gas oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge, opening into a dining area. All the essentials are covered: heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are included, along with the initial fuel for the fire. A travel cot and highchair are available on request.

Outside, an enclosed, lawned garden with patio and garden furniture runs behind the property, with access via four steps down. There is private parking for three cars and a bike store on site. One dog stays free. The cottage is positioned at King George V Park and Pavilion in central Banchory, within walking distance of the town's cafés, restaurants and shops. The Falls of Feugh, popular for watching salmon leap upstream, is less than a mile away. River and hill walking paths are similarly close. The Castle Trail is accessible by car: Crathes Castle with its gardens and Go Ape adventure course are a short drive away, as are Drum Castle and Dunnotar Castle. The area is known for fishing, with several beats nearby. Smoking is not permitted inside.
