Aber Bay Holiday Park sprawls directly onto the sand at Clarach Bay, a sheltered cove two miles north of Aberystwyth reached by a winding coast road. It's the largest and most amenity-laden site near town, running as a full-season holiday park with static caravans, lodges and touring pitches alongside an indoor leisure centre—heated pool, spa, sauna, fitness suite—plus an outdoor pool and play area in summer. An on-site shop and evening entertainment in the clubhouse add to the resort atmosphere, which some find a little tired in places but families with young children consistently praise for keeping everyone occupied whatever the weather.
Direct beach access means the cove itself often upstages the facilities on a sunny day, and Aberystwyth's castle, harbour and Victorian promenade are close enough for an easy change of scene. The contrast with quieter inland touring parks is deliberate—this is sociable, all-weather family territory rather than a secluded hideaway.

What visitors say
We stayed the weekend here in number 5 dolphin view. Absolutely amazing lodge with a hot tub and the best view you could ask for. The lodge was clean, roomy and had everything you need. We ate in the site restaurant on the Friday having steak which was great value and cooked perfect. On Sunday we had the carvery which was again great value and good choice. We found the bar and restaurant very reasonable for a holiday park. The location is perfect. Quiet amazing views and very well maintained site. Staff were all polite and friendly. Only two things to mention is the lack of lighting by the lodges on dolphin view and the main bin area is quite some way down other side of the park. Could benefit from another bin place and some more lights. Other than that everything was perfect and we can't wait to book again.

Just want to say thank you to all of the staff, front and back, for taking such good care of us locals when we pop in for a drink/snack while we're enjoying our local beach. Always so accommodating and kind, especially to the kids. Food is always gorgeous too. You guys rock.

We had a 6 bed spa it was stunning everything you need. decking all round and hot tub was fantastic. The site is very clean, staff were helpful and friendly. The club house and food was very nice .

Absolutely amazing place all caravans look well looked after cleaned, hot tubs and electrics are checked every day. Staff are really helpful and kind and restaurant is also very clean and food is wonderful. Definitely recommend and will be going back!
