Gwesty Cymru

We had an amazing stay at the Gwesty Cymru Hotel. The location is incredible, right on the promenade, with beautiful views of the sea and cliffs. The city centre is around the corner for easy access to restaurants, pubs and museums. The rooms are stylish, comfortable and quiet. We got very helpful recommendations for sight-seeing, and everyone was welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was absolutely delectable, fresh fruit and local eggs and homemade granola, as just a few of the offerings. The coffee is stellar, not to be missed. We can't recommend this establishment strongly enough!

We stopped here overnight while scouting locations along the west Wales coast for a lifestyle shoot. Didn't expect much from a quick one-nighter but Gwesty Cymru completely won us over. Lovely Victorian building right on the prom, room with a view over Cardigan Bay, and the kind of warmth from the staff that you don't find in bigger hotels. Breakfast the next morning was excellent and set us up perfectly for a long day on location. A real gem of a place.

We’ve enjoyed a lovely stay in the warm, cosy and very welcoming Gwesty Cymru. We had a sea view room. It was warm and cosy, spotlessly clean and a great spot to watch the wild waves, the starling murmurings and the sunset. The staff swapped rooms around to make sure our dad had less steps to climb, which was thoughtful. The decor and showers are spot on. Breakfast was delicious with quality, tasty local produce and excellent coffee. A big shout out to the lovely welcoming, friendly Izzy who was on breakfast duty, who has the front of house role down to a tee. She also kindly gave us some sightseeing tips. All in all, a fabulous stay and we’ll be back very soon, and next time we’ll make sure to sample the wine and tapas in the bar. We’ll also make sure to book direct with the hotel.

From the initial meet and greet to checking out, we couldn’t fault our stay. Lovely staff, very obliging and courteous. Our room was fantastic, best shower by far from any hotel I’ve stayed. The cleanliness and decor sets a seriously high standard . We would 100% stay again and very good value for money ! It’s just a few minutes walk from the main town but far enough for it to be lovely and quiet .
