Cotswolds Riding

Fantastic private hack. Horse pairings were very good and the 1.5 hours was perfect. The scenery was amazing and the route picked had just enough of walking, trotting and cantering. What really made this great was Rory, he was really friendly and gave a nice guide of the area. I couldn't recommend here more.

We had an amazing experience riding with Eliza on the hack. She was lovely to ride and converse with and the sights of the Cotswolds on horseback are unmatched. It was quite hot, but that didn't stop us from having a great time! Before the hack they did an assessment ride in the arena to see what your ability was, and that was really well done! Beauty and Mr.B were amazing horses!! Would recommend their hacks to everyone!

I came on a lovely Saturday in April and had a decent day. The people at reception and setting us up on the horses were super friendly. It was an okay experience even though half our group had never ridden and half were confident in cantering. Lovely view on a 1.5hour hack. The downside was that we had to pay £13 per person for an assessment of 5 mins - felt like a waste of money. The beginners were barely taught anything and the novices were not told we can canter so were limited to a walk the majority of the hack and a 100m trot. They were given this information on the form prior but was evidently not read. One leader on the hack Clem was not personable at all and repeatedly made patronising comments to the beginners. It made the experience quite stressful for them. Also two horses in the ride were unfriendly which made it difficult for the confident riders to ride side by side and talk in WALK as they refused to be near each other; this felt like a poor decision in horse selection. All in all the experience could have been massively improved with some easy fixes that were ignored by staff

I’ve had private lessons with Gus and Flo, and I honestly can’t recommend them highly enough. As a beginner, they have helped me so much and made me feel comfortable from the start. They are both amazing instructors—extremely knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely kind. They talk you through exactly what you need to do in a really clear and encouraging way, which has helped me improve massively. The atmosphere is very friendly, relaxed, and supportive, making it a great place to learn no matter your experience level. You never feel judged or rushed, and every lesson is enjoyable as well as informative. Overall, a brilliant experience with two fantastic instructors.
