More active types might decide to hit beaches like Traeth Llanddwyn or Rhosneigr for a spot of canoeing and wind- or kite-surfing, or explore wooded trails through Newborough Forest, where you might stumble upon assorted birdlife and red squirrels.

We stayed in the Elderflower shepherd's hut. Found it very clean and had a comfortable bed with quietness to sleep in. We had a pleasant welcome and our host Sarah was helpful with local info and looked after our needs, not having done a glamping stay before.

Absolutely delightful stay in the wonderful Sycamore Shepards' hut! We came for three days and it was a fantastic experience. Sarah was incredibly warm and welcoming, greeting us on arrival and ensuring we were fully settled in. The extra cuddly welcome from her gorgeous cockapoo Rollo was a great bonus! The hut was very well stocked (soft blankets, cooking equipment, basic ingredients, playing cards) and had the loveliest welcome basket with a very detailed guide, many maps and leaflets, and delicious goodies. Everything was clean and easy to use. It was so peaceful to be away from the beaten track (yet within easy reach of so many lovely places). Sarah also provides electric bikes to rent, making exploring all the more fun for those who might wish to see the island at their own pace.

We had the most amazing stay at Glan Morfa Holidays and would 100% recommend it to anyone. We stayed in the Shepherd's Hut which was lovely, incredibly clean, and fully equipped with everything we needed. It felt really cosy and peaceful. Andy exceeded our expectations as a host. He was kind, caring, gave us great suggestions for our day trips, and was a fantastic guide as we explored the island. We rested, replenished, and enjoyed an unforgettable holiday immersed in a beautiful green and quiet area on a stunning island.

Just spent 2 nights in the Elderflower shepherds hut . It’s in an idyllic location and we couldn’t have been made to feel more welcome. The accommodation was very clean , and stocked with all we needed plus a few little extras Sarah went out of her way to make it a great stay Would highly recommend
