Fantastic site. 10 mins walk to Newborough. Hard standing pitches with electricity. Toilet and shower block, kids playground and a cafe on site. Plus the bonus of it being next to the Anglesey Transport Museum, so glamping in ex military vehicles available. The kids will love it. Owners are very friendly and helpful. A hidden gem!

I first stayed at Tyddyn Pwrpas in May 2018, lovely site, lovely people so hospitable and helpful. Loved the Transport Museum too, definitely worth a visit and the cooked breakfast in the café was superb. I returned a year later with my brother just to visit the museum and have a another cooked breakfast - highly recommended. (Hope to return at sometime)

The campsite is situated within the grounds of Tacla Taid, The Anglesey Transport Museum (well worth a visit to see all the classic cars and military vehicles). There is a cafe on site which is open when the museum is in operation. Perfect for those days when you don’t want to cook or fancy a little treat. For those with children this campsite is ideal as there is plenty of space for them to run around and play with the added bonus of a playground. This is shared with visitors to the museum during the day. The pitches are all hard standing and well spaced out with electric hook ups. We can testify to the fact that the pitches are levelled as we have a vintage folding caravan that requires this. Each pitch has a name which brings a nice personalised touch to it. There is a toilet and shower available which is located round the side of the museum/cafe. It costs a pound to use the shower and it provides good value for your money. The site is clean and well maintained. We have always found the owners of the site to be friendly, and they are a great source of information about where to visit locally. Some of the places we would recommend checking out are the South Stack (RSPB sanctuary), Plas Newydd (National Trust), Anglesey Sea Zoo and Newborough Beach (accessible via the forest for a small fee). From the site on a clear day there is a fantastic view across to Snowdonia. At night you can look up at the stars and listen to the sounds of nature. This site is perfect for recharging your batteries in beautiful surroundings. You won’t regret a stay here.
