Dunlappie Lodge
Angus
Dunlappie Lodge is a detached gatehouse that comes thoroughly equipped for self-catering. The kitchen has an electric oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge-freezer, opening onto the garden through patio doors. A woodburner warms the living room, with initial logs supplied. All rooms sit on the ground floor: the living room has Freeview TV and a DVD player, while bedroom one holds a double bed and bedroom two offers a single with a pull-out single. The bathroom combines a bath with shower over, and there is a separate toilet. Electricity, heating, bed linen and towels are all included.
The property sits a mile from Edzell village, where a pub, shop and restaurant are within walking distance. On-site parking accommodates two cars, and guests have use of both a private garden with seating and the owners' wider landscaped grounds. One pet is welcome. The location puts you within reach of Glen Prosen, Glen Isla and Glen Esk for walking, the Iron Age hill forts at the Caterthuns, and a golf course half a mile away. The Angus Glens lead north into the Cairngorms; to the east are the beaches and fishing villages around St Cyrus and Montrose. No smoking inside.
