The Butchers Cottage

The Butchers Cottage is a whitewashed detached property tucked behind a local butcher's shop in the centre of Edzell. Step inside and the whole place spreads across the ground floor: a living room and kitchen area with a breakfast table, a utility room with laundry facilities, two bedrooms (one kingsize, one with two singles), and a bathroom with a bath and shower. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge and dishwasher, so you can cook as much or as little as you want. Smart TV with Netflix is available in the living room. Wi-Fi, electricity, bed linen and towels are all included; there's a garden with furniture out the back, a bike store, and on-road parking at the front.

Edzell itself sits within reach of the Angus Glens and their walking trails. The Victorian Heritage Trail passes through the area, connecting Fettercairn and its distillery to Cairn o' Mount and down into Royal Deeside. The coast is accessible too – St Cyrus and Lunan Bay have sandy beaches, and Montrose is nearby. For something different, Glamis Castle is a short drive away, or you could head further to St Andrews, Dundee or Perth. The village has shops and eating places within walking distance, and a golf course. One pet is welcome to stay free of charge. The property does not permit smoking.
