The Garden Pod

Brechin Cathedral and its 13th-century architecture sit within reach, as do Brechin Castle Gardens and the River South Esk for walks. The Garden Pod itself stands on a working farm in the Angus countryside, a single-storey retreat with a double bed, pull-out sofa bed for children, shower room and combined kitchen-living space. It's a straightforward setup: electricity, heating, wi-fi and towels are provided, along with enough appliances to manage simple cooking.

The real draw outdoors is the enclosed garden. There's a hot tub, sitting area with furniture, a barbecue and firepit for evening gatherings. A single parking space comes with the property. One well-behaved pet can come free. Inside, large windows overlook the surrounding fields. This works for two adults and two children, or a smaller group wanting their own space on a farm setting. No smoking indoors. Check-in is after 4pm, checkout before 11am.
