Larch Cottage

Larch Cottage is a single-storey lodge built above the River Isla in Glenisla, Angus. The whole property is yours alone, with two bedrooms, two bathrooms and sleeping space for four. A gentle slope leads to the entrance; inside, the ground-floor layout centres on an open-plan living and dining area with a wood-burning stove, a kitchen equipped for self-catering, and two bedrooms – one with a double bed, one with two singles. Essentials including bed linen, towels and wi-fi are provided, along with logs for the stove.

Outside, a decked verandah overlooks the garden, which includes the river frontage. On-site parking is available and there is secure bike storage. The location suits anyone wanting to base themselves for walking, cycling or riding; the surrounding hills are accessible directly from the property, and an adventure centre two miles away offers outdoor activities and cycle hire. Alyth, eleven miles off, has shops and three golf courses. The nearest pub and shop are ten miles away. Dogs are welcome. The property is non-smoking, and note that the garden includes a fenced section of river, with the cottage using a private water supply.
