The Old Laundry

The Old Laundry sits on the Balnaboth Estate in Glenprosen, a glen in the heart of Angus that rises toward the Cairngorms. Thousands of acres of moorland, woodland and river valleys surround the property, home to red squirrels, deer, otters and birds including black game and ptarmigan. A five-mile stretch of the River Prosen runs through the estate for fishing, and the landscape supports everything from woodland walks to mountain biking in season.

This one-bedroom cottage sleeps two and comes as your own self-contained space with parking on site. Inside, a ground-floor open-plan room combines living and dining areas with an electric cooker and microwave for preparing meals; a woodburning stove provides warmth on cooler evenings. The essentials—heating, electricity, bed linen and towels—are all included. One step accesses the entrance.

The location balances seclusion with practicality. Market towns and fishing harbours on the Angus coast are a short drive away, as is Dundee with its contemporary arts centre and observatory. Twenty golf courses lie within an hour, and Glen Shee's skiing sits 25 miles south. Shops are 9–10 miles distant. The cottage does not permit smoking. One well-behaved pet is welcome.
