Tinkerbell is a distinctive half-round cottage tucked into the grounds of the Bainaboth Estate, where 6,000 acres of countryside roll across Glenprosen towards the edge of the Cairngorms. Two guests sleep here in complete privacy, with their own parking and the freedom to build fires in the wood-burning stove on cooler evenings. The single open-plan room downstairs combines living and dining space with a kitchen, while a bathroom and bedroom sit on the ground floor; there is one step to the entrance.
Red squirrels inhabit the trees around the property, otters move through the burns, and deer graze the slopes. The estate's landscape shifts from beech woods to open moor, making it compelling for walkers and birdwatchers, and fishing can be arranged on a 5-mile stretch of the River Prosen nearby. The Gardener's Bothy stands within reach for exploration. Beyond the quietness of the glen, the Angus coast and Dundee lie only a short drive away—the Contemporary Arts centre and Mills Observatory both draw visitors looking for something beyond the countryside. A shop can be found 9 to 10 miles distant. The property is no-smoking throughout.
