Tighnabruaich sits on the water's edge with sailing schools, a golf course, and tennis courts all within view or a short walk. The village has enough shops, cafes and restaurants to sustain a week without leaving, though the Cowal Peninsula rewards exploration. Aldersyde is a traditional stone house large enough for two families or a group to spread across without feeling cramped, with games room, hot tub and an enclosed garden that needs no negotiation about boundaries.
The four bedrooms sleep eight: two doubles upstairs with sea views, one double on the ground floor, and a further bedroom with two single beds. There are two bathrooms, a kitchen with the essentials for cooking, and a sitting room with a woodburner. Bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and heating are included. One dog can stay free. The garden is fully fenced and there's parking for four cars. Smoking is not permitted indoors.
