About Carry Farm
Tucked into the hills above Tighnabruaich on the Cowal Peninsula, Carry Farm enjoys a peaceful setting with views over the Kyles of Bute. The site caters well for tourers with hook-ups for water and drainage, plus tourer storage, and there's plenty to keep families occupied: a games room, play area and tennis court all feature. Campers are well placed for sailing and fishing in the sheltered waters below, while a golf course sits nearby for landlubbers.
The facilities are solid – showers, launderette, a small food shop and even gas cylinders on hand – and dogs are welcome. With a 4.9 rating, it's clearly doing something right, offering a no-fuss base for exploring this beautifully remote corner of Argyll.

What visitors say
We’ve just had a wonderful stay at Carry farm. The views are spectacular and the kids really enjoyed the freedom of walking to the beach on their own. The lodges are comfortable, good shower, well equipped kitchen etc. We were also very lucky with the summery weather, although it did make the bedrooms a tad too warm at night. It was also quite light which made it tricky for small kids’ bedtime, but that would be easily solvable if we brought travel blackout blinds next time. All in all it is a brilliant magical spot and we would love to go back again, thank you Carry Farm! P.S. shout out to the 2 most adorable donkeys! ❤️❤️

Our family of three had a wonderful long weekend stay at Carry Farm. We have been to Argyle previously and love that part of the world, but haven't been to Carry farm before so we were in for a treat! Lovely cosy cottage with fully equipped kitchen, hot shower and comfortable beds! Loved the Mocca Master coffee machine paired with Argyle coffee - a real treat for coffee lovers like ourselves. Big thanks to Fiona was very responsive and helpful! We were a little worried that our 5-year old will be bored with just us, but he absolutely loved it and didn't want to leave! Can't wait to be back in summer when the coffeeshop is up and running. PS make sure you bring plenty of carrots for Barney and Louis the donkeys

Beautiful location and quiet. Close to the sea, ideal for crabbing. Just 4 miles away from one of the best beaches I've seen in the UK and basically have it all to yourself. plenty of good biking routs and local fishing trips are available. Cabins are clean and practical. Owners are also helpful. I went with my 4 year old son and had a great time.

One of the best things we could of done for ourselves and our family, I had heard about this sailing school and lodging from a random person I sat next to on a plane on my way to Spain. What I loved while my child was in sailing school we could stay right on the property. The owners literally thought of everything, the cabins are thoughtfully decorated with quality pieces, handmade loomed blankets, and real pieces of art from a family member. Quality over quantity. We were able to get food a local store, but had fresh lobster and langoustine, from Fiona's son who catches them fresh daily. Early morning, we would walk to the little coffee shop on site, which had some sweet treats and amazing coffee. We felt such a peace while staying there, still close enough to explore during the day, but also chill enough to just read and kick back. We hope to make this a yearly stay.
