Fern Cottage
Argyll and Bute

Fern Cottage stands in Ardentinny, a quiet hamlet within the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park. The loch is metres away—close enough that a private mooring comes with the property, and the shore is ideal for fishing or simply watching the water change through the day. Behind the cottage, the Argyll Forest opens up with marked walks, forest tracks and cycle routes all within reach on foot.
The cottage is listed and retains period details—stone walls, wooden panelling, the original cast iron staircase—mixed with comfortable modern furnishings and some antique pieces. Downstairs: a living room with Smart TV and Netflix, a separate dining room, a sun room opening to the garden, and a kitchen equipped for proper cooking. Upstairs: a double bedroom and a twin. The shower room is on the ground floor. Both bedrooms have their own character; a guitar is left for guests who play. The enclosed garden has a fire pit and sitting area; a free car park is 55 yards away. Electricity, heating, Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels are all included. One well-behaved pet stays free.
Dunoon is nearby for shops and restaurants. Benmore Botanic Gardens, with its woodland setting, sits within easy reach, and the Cowal Peninsula offers steamer cruises and wider exploration of the region's hills and lochs. This is working countryside and water—the cottage suits anyone wanting to be outdoors, whether walking, cycling, fishing or simply by the shore.
