Catkin Lodge comes fully equipped for a self-catering break that requires minimal preparation. The kitchen has an electric oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine, so you can cook properly or keep things simple. Bed linen and towels are included. The property sleeps six across three bedrooms, each with zip-and-link beds that can be configured as doubles or singles. There's one bathroom with a bath, shower and separate toilet. A wood burner in the open-plan living area provides warmth and atmosphere; logs are available locally. The private sauna is the standout feature—useful on days when outdoor exploration gives way to indoor relaxation.
The lodge sits on a hillside above the Firth of Lorne in Lunga, a small community on the Craignish peninsula in Argyll and Bute. It's surrounded by woodland and open views toward the inner islands and the Gulf of Corrievrachan. The location is midway between Oban and Lochgilphead. A five-minute walk brings you to the water's edge; there's a pub within a mile. The property has its own parking for three cars and an electric vehicle charging point. Ground-floor layout means no stairs inside the lodge itself, though steps do lead through the grounds. No smoking is permitted. The natural water supply comes via a spring on the property.
