About Lunga Pier and Shore Camping
Perched on the Craignish Peninsula with direct water access to Loch Shuna, Lunga Pier & Shore Camping occupies a gloriously remote corner of the Lunga Estate. The views alone – sweeping across to the Corryvreckan Channel and nearby islands – make the journey worthwhile, while the rugged coves and sheltered bays prove irresistible to wild swimmers, kayakers and anglers. Paddleboards and watersports kit can be hired just five minutes away in Craobh Haven if you fancy exploring by water.
Landlubbers aren't left wanting: coastal and woodland trails thread through the estate, with regular sightings of seals, herons, hares and curlews, and National Cycle Route 78 lies twenty minutes' drive away. The site itself keeps things simple – grass and gravel pitches (some with electric hook-up), a toilet and shower block, communal fridge and a covered terrace for rainy evenings. Dogs roam freely year-round, adding to the relaxed, low-key atmosphere, though some campers note facilities can feel a touch basic for the price. Ardfern village, ten minutes by car, supplies essentials and a welcoming pub.

An utterly perfect spot to be close to nature and enjoy this outstanding coastal area. If you are looking for a pristine holiday park, then you best jog on to another spot! But if you want to watch otters pull a flatty from the water and crunch away on it, or come eye to eye with a seal while you are out on your morning sup paddle, then this is the place for you! This place has managed to retain a wonderful basic charm, long may it continue. If you're the sort of person who can be comfortable with the "basic" facilities then you'll not find a better spot!

Simply one of the best campsites I've been to. (I've no idea what that review below is all about and why they've got such a bee in their bonnet.) I was looking to go camping for a few nights and wanted somewhere relaxing, with a good view, nice facilities that had the feeling of wild camping with the Convenience of showers and toilets. And I'm so glad to say I found it! The location is absolutely breathtaking, especially at sunset. The facilities are rustic but well maintained and clean. There are fire pits dotted about and there is a lovely covered area with sofas overlooking the harbour. Also the people I encountered working there were friendly, warm and welcoming. Honestly if like me you're sick of traditional, bland and uninspiring campsites try this one instead. You won't be disappointed.

Basic, I Can do, I've done it mainly times. But when you start pitching motorhomes 6-8feet apart, on soft wet ground, the daisychain EHU from a 3way splitter that runs from a 13amp domestic socket in an out building, you are in conflict with basic safety regulations that are in place to protect campers!! Yes it's a nice place to be, but you need to get your infrastructure in place before charging folk good money for poor services!

A wonderful place with amazing views and friendly people. We'll definitely be back next time we're in the area. The toilets are a bit sparse, but they are there, as are the showers. I'm leaving 5 stars because this place deserves it.
