Midcraigs

Midcraigs works well for families wanting space to spread out, couples seeking a quieter base, or small groups who need flexible sleeping. The cottage sits on an elevated plot in sheep country near Glencraigs Diamond Jubilee Wood, three miles from Campbeltown's harbour town centre. One dog is welcome and stays free; it must be kept on a lead throughout your stay.

The ground floor has a living room with a woodburner, a kitchen fitted with an oven, hob, dishwasher and washer-dryer, and a double bedroom with an ensuite wet room. Upstairs, there's a galleried cinema space with a 55-inch TV and PlayStation, plus a bedroom with three single beds. The sofa bed in the cinema area provides a fifth sleeping spot. An enclosed lawned garden faces south-west, with parking for three cars on site. The essentials—heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi—are covered, along with logs for the fire.

The surrounding area suits outdoor types: beaches lie close by, three golf courses are nearby, and Kintyre offers walking and water sports. Campbeltown itself, five minutes' drive away, has restaurants, pubs and shops. Children staying can use a travel cot and highchair on request. No smoking throughout the property.
