High Trodigal is a detached cottage built into a hillside on the Kintyre Peninsula, designed in the style of a neolithic dwelling with turf roof and natural stone walls. The single ground-floor space combines living, dining and kitchen areas, centred on a woodburner with logs included. A super king bed sits in the bedroom with patio doors opening to the garden, and the bathroom holds both a spa bath and walk-in shower. Everything needed for self-catering is provided—electricity, heating, bed linen, towels, wifi and a welcome pack—along with a fully equipped kitchen that includes a dishwasher and coffee machine.
The cottage takes two people and one dog at no extra charge. A stream runs through the grounds. Parking for two cars is private; smoking is not permitted indoors. Campbeltown lies within walking or short driving distance, home to three whisky distilleries, a gin distillery, museums, restaurants and independent shops. Machrihanish Golf Course is less than a mile away, and the area is known for its beaches, the Kintyre Way walking route, and views towards the Inner Hebrides and Arran. The Machrihanish Bird and Wildlife Observatory at Gauldrons Beach attracts otters and migratory birds.
