Puffin - Dubh Sgeir

A dive centre sits directly across the way, and sea angling is within a few hundred yards. The local ferry terminal is even closer—trips to Kerrera island depart hourly and cost very little. Walking routes crisscross the area, including an old drovers path that leads into Oban itself, just two miles away. Bird watching, wildlife spotting and photography all work well here. Oban has the harbour, shops and restaurants you'd expect of a working ferry port, plus access to the islands beyond.

Puffin is a semi-detached house with three bedrooms—a double and two single rooms upstairs, plus a single on the first floor—sleeping five in total. There is one bathroom with a shower. The ground floor is open plan, with a living area that opens onto a decked balcony overlooking the boatyard and across the Firth of Lorn towards Kerrera. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob. Wi-Fi and heating are included, along with bed linen and towels. You have private parking for two cars and access to five acres of natural grounds. One well-behaved dog is welcome, and it stays free.

The property suits couples and families; group bookings are not taken. There is an unfenced loch on the grounds about a hundred yards away.
