Tanamuir
Argyll and Bute
Strachur is a small village on the Argyll coast, positioned where you can step from the house straight onto the shoreline of Loch Fyne. Tanamuir is a cottage here with three double bedrooms, two bathrooms, and enough space for seven people. One well-behaved dog stays free. The whole place is yours alone from arrival after 4pm until 10am checkout.
Downstairs, the open-plan living and dining room has a wood burner and doors opening onto a decked balcony where the loch unfolds in front of you. A second sitting room upstairs has its own television and a sofa bed. Two of the bedrooms are on the ground floor—one with an en-suite shower room, the other next to a family bathroom. The third bedroom is upstairs. The kitchen is properly equipped for self-catering. Wifi, electricity, bed linen and towels are included. Outside there is parking for two cars on the driveway. No smoking indoors.
A shop, post office and café are across the road. A pub is a short walk along the beach, or minutes away by road. From here you can paddle board, kayak, swim or walk straight out onto the water and hills. Oban is 90 minutes away. The area has fishing, riding and restaurants including a Michelin-starred one a few miles south.
