Strachur sits on the west coast of Argyll, facing Loch Fyne with the mountains rising beyond. The village itself has a general store, post office, tea room, hotel, and filling station all within walking distance. Tigh an Uillt occupies a waterfront position here, a cottage designed to make the most of its setting with large south and west-facing windows that flood the rooms with light and frame views across the water.
The whole property is on the ground floor—four steps with a handrail lead to the entrance. Inside are two bedrooms (one with a king bed and ensuite, one with a zip-and-link super king that can be split into singles), a family bathroom, a living room with wood burner, dining room, kitchen with electric cooker and dishwasher, and a utility room. Bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and electricity are included, along with initial logs for the fire. The garden has a barbecue, seating area, and private parking for two cars; there is an unfenced stream in the garden. Smoking is not permitted, and the cottage is available to couples and families only.
The location suits walking and touring across Argyll, with Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park and the Argyll Forest Park nearby. A slipway close by allows launching small boats or kayaks when conditions permit, and the village has tennis courts. Glasgow is roughly 90 minutes' drive away.
