About House Arundel

House Arundel occupies a Grade II listed building on the High Street dating from the 1730s, run as a small boutique bed and breakfast with just five rooms, each finished with king-size beds, rainfall showers and the kind of personal attention that comes from a genuinely small operation. Guests are looked after directly by the owners, and the atmosphere is closer to staying with well-organised friends than a conventional hotel stay.

Breakfast is taken seriously here, with home-made items and fresh milk delivered daily, served either in a small breakfast room or, for some rooms, brought up as a tray. The building's period features, from exposed beams to sash windows, have been kept alongside contemporary bathrooms and blackout curtains, and each of the five rooms has its own character rather than a uniform hotel finish.

Its High Street position puts guests a nine-minute walk from Arundel Castle and five minutes from the cathedral, with the River Arun also close by, making it one of the best-placed smaller stays in the town centre. Given its size, rooms book up quickly for weekends in summer.

We had a lovely stay here for 3 nights. Rosie was very accommodating and easy to contact. Our room was very clean and tastefully decorated. The whole hotel has been well thought out. The location is great for seeing arundel and getting around Sussex. Would definitely recommend.

We stayed recently and were very impressed. The place was pristine, bed super comfortable and the decor was well considered and cozy. Rosie was a brilliant host and the location was excellent being just a few minutes walk from attractions, pubs and restaurants so all things considered, we enjoyed our visit to Arundel.

I had a fantastic stay at House Arundel this weekend. The owners were fab – really welcoming, friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived. The house absolutely oozes style. The downstairs chill out areas are really cool and relaxed, and the honesty pot for drinks is a great touch. My room was fantastic – beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, and you can tell that every detail has been carefully thought about. It genuinely felt like I was part of the historic and beautiful town of Arundel during our stay. The location is ideal – right in the heart of town, perfect for heading out to explore. Breakfast and coffee next door were perfect and a great start to the day. Everything about the stay was right up my street. I'd happily stay again and would definitely recommend it.

House Arundel is a beautiful base for exploring Arundel and the surrounding area. Rosie and James were exceptional throughout our stay - warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, with great local recommendations that made the trip even better. Our room was absolutely gorgeous: spotless, stylish, and incredibly comfortable, with thoughtful touches that made it feel special. Arundel itself is such a charming town with plenty to see, do and eat, and the location is perfect for days out in the South Downs. We had a fantastic stay and can’t wait to return. Thanks again!
