About Travelodge Arundel Fontwell

Set where the A27 meets the A29 on the fringes of Arundel, Travelodge Arundel Fontwell is a handy stop for exploring the surrounding South Downs countryside as well as the town itself. Being so close to the roundabout means the location is easy to find and simple to reach by car, though it also means some rooms can pick up noise from the road, worth bearing in mind if you're a light sleeper.

The hotel has 62 rooms, each with an en-suite bathroom, and accessible rooms are available for those who need them. Rates run from £35 to £150 depending on when you book. Some of the furnishings are on the older side, but the rooms are kept clean and the staff have a reputation for being helpful. A restaurant serves breakfast, and drinks can be brought to your room, while 24-hour reception means arrival times are flexible.

Free on-site parking is available first-come, first-served, and there's an electric vehicle charge point for those who need it. A KFC sits nearby for a quick bite, along with other dining options, and pubs and bars in the area offer more evening choice. Pets are welcome too, making this a straightforward base for a South Downs trip or a night near Arundel.

There arectwo Travelodges close together here, check the address on your booking! This one is on the roundabout of the main road, alongside a KFC and petrol station. I stayed one night whilst passing through. Its convenient in that you can get on the road again quickly and easily, I dont eat KFC but the petrol station had a useful shop, and the hotel reception had a small vending machine. There is no restaurant here. The lady on reception was lovely, as I have found all Travelodge staff I have come across during my travels. The car park was empty when I arrived, but soon filled upwith contractors vans, as presumably the hotel is convenient for surrounding construction sites. That did also meanI had to listen to their loud voices stood outside the front entrance, but I always carry ear plugs, so I could block them out. The ground floor smells a bit of dog (presuming they have dog friendly rooms) but once you go upstairs its fine. They had left a fan running, which is as much as they can do, but it was hot in the room due to the heatwave we are having in parts of the UK at the moment. As usual, its a decent place for a decent price. You know what you are getting with a Travelodge. Great spot for visiting this area of Southern England

Basic hotel but it was clean, comfortable and had very friendly and helpful staff. Room was large and despite its location I could not hear any road noise. I would definitely stay here again.

As soon as were entered this place, (namely on 10 January 2026), we were greeted warmly. When I put questions to the member of staff about the Wi-Fi, he explained in great detail about this, which was pleasing. When we checkout out, namely on 11 January 2026, a member of staff spoke to us. I have never, ever hard someone be so grateful about the fact that we stayed at and so pleasant. This female member of staff had an intriguing hair colour and appeared to be under 30. I hope that both members of staff praised because she really made us feel appreciated.
