About Macdonald Berystede Hotel & Spa
Set back on a leafy road in Sunninghill, on the edge of Ascot's racecourse country, Macdonald Berystede Hotel & Spa offers a calm base within reach of Windsor and the wider Berkshire countryside. The surrounding area is well suited to golf and fishing, and there's a pub or bar nearby for evenings out, while the hotel's own garden and outdoor seating make the most of the setting when the weather allows.
Inside, the hotel spreads across three floors and holds 126 rooms, including family and accessible options, all with en-suite bathrooms and air conditioning. There's a restaurant and bar on site, along with breakfast service, a gym, spa and sauna, and an indoor swimming pool for year-round use. Business travellers are catered for with meeting rooms and business services, and free on-site parking is available to all guests.
Pets are welcome, and practical extras such as laundry service and luggage storage make longer stays straightforward. It's a hotel built around comfort and convenience rather than spectacle, with Royal Ascot Racecourse and Windsor both within easy striking distance for a day out.
Guests consistently praise this hotel for its outstanding spa amenities, specifically mentioning the great pool, steam rooms, saunas, and a remarkable outdoor hydro-spa pool. Furthermore, they appreciate the friendly and helpful staff and consistently enjoy the delicious food offered.
Some reviews mention the rooms can be poorly maintained.
