About Inverlea Guest House

Breakfast is a proper start to the day at Inverlea Guest House, an easy addition given the packed lunches also on offer for guests heading out to explore. Drinks can be brought to the room, and the sunroom offers a relaxed spot to sit with a coffee away from the bedrooms. The building itself is traditional stone, in keeping with its Ayr surroundings at 42 Carrick Road.

Rooms are kept simple and comfortable rather than fussy, with some offering en-suite bathrooms and family rooms available for those travelling together. Free WiFi runs throughout, and practical touches such as luggage storage, a laundry service and 24-hour reception make it a straightforward base whether staying one night or several. Free on-site parking is included, which is useful given the property sits a short distance from Ayr's centre.

Royal Troon Golf Club is nearby for keen golfers, and the surrounding area suits walking, cycling, fishing and horse riding, with watersports also within reach. Pubs, restaurants and entertainment are close by for evenings out, and Ayr town itself is just over half a mile away by the description given, making it easy to combine a quiet stay with time spent out and about.

Beautiful property, immaculate rooms, fantastic location, incredible breakfast and to top it off, friendly and accommodating hosts. Liz and Douglas were incredibly welcoming from the get go and their guest house truly was a home away from home. The room we had was incredibly spacious and comfortable. When through in Ayr in the future, I’ll definitely be booking a return visit. Would recommend to anyway visiting the area. You won’t be disappointed.
